Ingredients:
- 5 sheets of phyllo dough
- 1/2 block of cheese
- Parsley
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
For the Sauce:
- 1 bottle of soda/mineral water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
For the Topping:
Instructions:
- Lay the phyllo dough on a flat surface. Brush each sheet with vegetable oil. Fold the phyllo dough in half and cut it into 6 pieces.
- Place the cheese filling at one end of each phyllo dough piece, then roll it up like a cigar. Repeat this process with all the phyllo dough.
- Place the rolled boreks in freezer bags or a container, and cover them with plastic wrap. Store them in the freezer.
- When you’re ready to bake the boreks, dip them in a mixture of soda and vegetable oil for about 1 minute. Then place them on a baking tray.
- Brush the tops of the boreks with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the boreks for 30 minutes until they become golden and crispy.
- Your soda frozen boreks are now ready to be served. Enjoy!
