Green Plum Pickle

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg green plums
  • 5-6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 handful of chickpeas
  • 1 liter drinking water
  • 3 tablespoons rock salt
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the plums and chickpeas under water and dry them. Peel the garlic cloves.
  2. Then, in a jar, layer 4-5 chickpeas, 3-4 plums, and 1-2 garlic cloves. Continue this process until the jar is full.
  3. Next, let’s prepare the pickle brine separately. In 1 liter of water, add 3 tablespoons of rock salt and 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Stir until a homogeneous mixture is formed and the liquid becomes clear.
  4. Pour the pickle brine into the jar over the plums, filling it to the top. Seal the jar tightly.
  5. Store the jar in a dark place. The pickle will be ready in 10-15 days.
