Minced Meat Rolled Potatoes


  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt

For the Minced Meat Filling:

  • 300g minced meat
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Quarter bunch of parsley (finely chopped)

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese


  1. Start by peeling and grating the potatoes. Squeeze out the excess water and place them in a deep bowl.
  2. Add grated cheddar cheese, eggs, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt to the grated potatoes. Mix well to combine.
  3. Spread the potato mixture evenly onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Use a spoon to flatten and smooth it out.
  4. Bake the potatoes in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) until the surface is golden brown.
  5. For the minced meat filling, heat vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the finely chopped onion until translucent.
  6. Add the minced meat and continue cooking until the water is absorbed. Then add tomato paste, black pepper, and salt. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Pour the hot water into the pan, cover with a lid, and let the minced meat cook until tender and the water is absorbed.
  8. Spread the cooked minced meat evenly over the baked potato base.
  9. Roll up the potato base with the minced meat inside to form a log. Place the rolled potato log in the center of the baking tray.
  10. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the rolled potatoes.
  11. Return the tray to the oven and bake until the cheese on top is melted and golden.
  12. Remove the minced meat rolled potatoes from the oven and slice them before serving.
