Cauliflower Patties


  • Medium-sized cauliflower
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or bread crumbs
  • Quarter bunch of parsley (finely chopped)
  • Cumin
  • Black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Salt

For Frying:

  • Vegetable oil


  1. Boil the cauliflower in a pot and then drain it. Mash the cauliflower with a fork and place it in a deep bowl.
  2. Add the egg, finely chopped onion, flour, breadcrumbs, parsley, cumin, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt to the bowl with mashed cauliflower. Mix them well until all ingredients are combined. If the mixture is too runny, you can add more flour to adjust the consistency.
  3. Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  4. Shape the mixture into patties.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the cauliflower patties until they are golden brown on both sides.
  6. Serve the cauliflower patties with garlic yogurt on the side.
